— Signed for your skin.

Skin literacy that makes a generation harder to mislead.

A teen-direct app that decodes influencer claims, age-rates ingredients for developing skin, and offers quiet support — built with dermatologists, and with safeguarding in the architecture, not as an afterthought.

— The reason we exist

Tweens are using products built for 40-year-olds.

Dermatologists report a documented rise in skin-barrier damage, allergic reactions, and inappropriate spending — driven by social routines that average eleven active ingredients and have little to do with what young skin actually needs. It isn't a niche worry. It's a present-day health story.

— What mavie does

Four threads. One app. Built for teen skin.

A teen-direct experience that decodes what skin actually needs, what influencers actually claim, and what to do about it — dermatologist-authorised, AI-powered, safeguarding-first.

01 · Flagship — Social media literacy

Influencer Decoder

Paste a claim, scan a routine video, or search a trending product, and get an opinionated, dermatologist-reviewed verdict in seconds — plain language, backed by science.

02 · Scanner

Ingredient Reader

Scan any product or look up an ingredient. Each is rated on safety and age-appropriateness — not a generic 'good or bad', but 'is it right for teen skin?'

03 · Comprehensive, not superficial

Skin Science Library

Age-appropriate explainers written by dermatologists: what teen skin needs, what it doesn't need yet, and why. The educational backbone behind every verdict.

04 · Distress detection

Confidence Layer

Quiet support when the algorithm gets loud. Gentle signals surface routes to real help — no scoring, no gamification, no comparison. Co-designed with adolescent-psychology experts.

— The product, in one view

Five screens. One promise.

Calm, readable, and built for the way teens actually use their phones — no feed to fall into, no scores to chase.

— Our promise

Safeguarding isn't a feature. It's the architecture.

What makes mavie different is what we refuse to do. The product is calm by design — the opposite of the feed it protects against.

No ads to teens

Young people are never the product. We don't sell attention, and we never will.

No selling data

No profiling, no behavioural tracking, no data sales. Private searches stay private.

No feed, no scoring, no comparison

Nothing that ranks a face or invites comparison. Distress signals route to human support.

— The team

Built by people who've seen the harm — and the science.

mavie is the work of a small, senior team that pairs two rare disciplines. On one side, more than a decade of finance and operations leadership and six years working face-to-face with developing skin in an Athens aesthetics practice — watching post-influencer harm walk through the door every week. On the other, over twenty years building technology-for-good products across health, finance, and social impact, including a corporate-wellbeing platform used by enterprises internationally. Guiding every clinical and design decision is an advisory group spanning board-certified dermatology, adolescent clinical psychology, and child-safeguarding and online-safety expertise — so each verdict is grounded in evidence, and every choice is weighed against how it affects a young, developing mind.
